MARCO ISLAND, Fla. — In this Healio Video Perspective, Sahar Bedrood, MD, PhD, and Deborah Ristvedt, DO, discuss the impact that an interventional glaucoma treatment paradigm can have on patients and the larger glaucoma treatment space.
“I am so passionate about this space because not only are we improving quality of life for our patients, but we are also seeing that it prevents other surgical interventions down the road and visual field loss,” Ristvedt said at the Women in Ophthalmology Summer Symposium. “If we intervene in a way where it is more safe, less risky and more effective for the patient earlier in the disease course, what a win,” Ristvedt said.
