MARCO ISLAND, Fla. — In this Healio Video Perspective, Cathleen M. McCabe, MD, discusses recent developments for Sight for Life, a nonprofit organization located in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
“In the last few years, we have actually converted a little bit from doing more individual care of patients, which we still continue to do, to renovating a building that we purchased as a place to do educational events for local ophthalmologists and take care of patients in a more consistent fashion,” she said at the Women in Ophthalmology Summer Symposium.
McCabe also shares insight on available resources for ophthalmologists who are interested in participating in volunteer projects, such as mission work and mentoring.
