MARCO ISLAND, Fla. — In this Healio Video Perspective from the Women in Ophthalmology Summer Symposium, Shivani Majmudar, MSJ, shares her positive experiences as a patient with myopia who underwent ICL refractive surgery.
Majmudar, a third-year medical student at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, discusses the significant improvements the procedure yielded for her vision and shares how the experience has helped her feel more prepared to take on similar cases as a ophthalmologist.
“As a future ophthalmologist, I feel that this experience was really beneficial because now I know exactly what my future patients will be going through,” she said. “Having had this experience, I think I can be very open and very honest about what to expect.”
