NEW ORLEANS — In this Healio Video Perspective from the ARVO meeting, Robert Herber, PhD, discusses a study that evaluated the detection of corneal ectasia using Anterion swept-source OCT from Heidelberg Engineering.

“The results of the study showed that the SCORE parameter of the Anterion performed slightly better when separating healthy eyes from both ectatic subgroups,” he said. “However, in distinguishing normal eyes from very early ectasia cases, the SCORE parameter performed significantly better, with a clinically acceptable sensitivity and specificity.”
