KOLOA, Hawaii — In this Healio Video Perspective from Retina 2023, Yoshihiro Yonekawa, MD, discusses nomenclature updates for retinopathy of prematurity and retinal surgery in pediatric patients.

“We have to think of kids as a whole patient. We can’t think just of their eyes,” he said. “We have to consider all their other comorbidities and social situations when managing kids with surgical retinal conditions.”
