In this Healio Video Perspective, Sunir J. Garg, MD, discusses a presentation from the Retina Society meeting that used data from the IRIS Registry to explore the impact of delay in retinal detachment care.

“I think all of us would agree that for macula-on detachments, we need to get the retina reattached as quickly as possible,” he said. “But the traditional teaching for macula-off repairs is that maybe time isn’t so critical.” He added, “What we wanted to do is look at the IRIS Registry to see if we could help tease that question out a little bit more.”
