CHICAGO — In this Healio Video Perspective from the AAO meeting, Shoaib Ugradar, MD, discusses research on the genetics behind the different stages of thyroid eye disease.
According to Ugradar, genetic studies show that there is no such thing as an “inactive” phase of thyroid eye disease. This means that patients who have been told they have inactive disease can now have access to therapies that target the IGF-1 pathway.
