VIDEO: Aflibercept 8 mg shows positive safety, efficacy results for patients with DME
In this Healio Video Perspective, David Brown, MD, discusses data he presented at the Retina Society 2022 meeting from the PHOTON trial investigating 8 mg aflibercept for the treatment of diabetic macular edema.
“We are hoping that this agent comes to the clinic,” Brown said. “There are a lot of diabetic patients that need a higher dose, and they also have a hard time making all of the injections they need to maintain their edema. This might be a big advance for both patients and their providers.”
