CHICAGO — In this Healio Video Perspective from the AAO meeting, Victor H. Gonzalez, MD, discusses VisionTEK Automation, an artificial intelligence tool that assists with practice billing and coding.
“The challenge we have is that when we code and bill, we often lose a lot of money because of staff errors and not understanding all of the different nuances of insurance,” he said. “Imagine having an artificial intelligence solution that is agnostic to your EMR that can go in and look at your schedule, determine which patients need preauthorization for the different procedures that you have and prepare those patients long before they ever get there.”
