VIDEO: Triamcinolone injection improves visual acuity in uveitic macular edema
DENVER — Two phase 3 studies showed that suprachoroidal triamcinolone acetonide injections led to significant improvement in visual acuity.
Steven Yeh, MD, of Truhlsen Eye Institute, University of Nebraska Medical Center, said by 4 weeks, patients with macular edema associated with uveitis gained up to 10 letters of improvement, and by 24 weeks, 14 letters.
