Glaukos is making executive leadership changes, including a new president and chief operating officer, effective April 1, according to a press release.

Joseph Gilliam, who has served as chief financial officer and senior vice president of corporate development since 2017, will become president and chief operating officer, Alex Thurman will take over the role of senior vice president and chief financial officer, and Tomas Navratil, PhD, will become chief development officer.

“On behalf of the entire Glaukos organization, I am delighted to congratulate Joe, Alex and Tomas on these well-deserved promotions and pledge our full support to them in their new roles that bring expanded leadership responsibilities in alignment with our long-term strategic objectives,” Thomas Burns, chairman and CEO of Glaukos, said in the release.

Chris Calcaterra, who has served as chief operating officer since 2017, will transition into the role of executive vice president of global commercial operations.
