WAIKOLOA, Hawaii — At Hawaiian Eye 2022, Audrey Talley Rostov, MD, discusses a lamellar keratoplasty technique for granular dystrophy she has performed using the Visumax femtosecond laser.

“I essentially created a deep laser flap, kind of like a LASIK flap at 190 µ and simply cut the flap off, letting it re-epithelialize,” Rostov said. “I was able to debulk the granular dystrophy, thus increasing her vision and decreasing the granular dystrophy without the use of a cornea transplant.”
