WAIKOLOA, Hawaii — In a presentation at Hawaiian Eye 2022, Roger A. Dailey, MD, FACS, shared his tips and tricks for performing eyelid reconstruction surgery.

“Some of the main things to keep in mind are that the lid can be considered the front half, the anterior lamella and a posterior half, the posterior lamella, so when you’re reconstructing an entire eyelid, you are going to need to provide something for the posterior lamella and the anterior lamella, and one of those two should have some vascular blood supply,” Dailey said.
