VIDEO: Advances in technology will help the visually impaired
WAIKOLOA, Hawaii — Calvin W. Roberts, MD, president and CEO of Lighthouse Guild, presented “a myriad of interesting technologies” that can make a “huge impact” on the lives of those who are visually impaired.
“Like never before, advances in technology, like artificial intelligence, program learning, virtual reality, facial recognition, 5G — are just primed to benefit people who are blind and visually impaired,” he said.
