Healio/Ocular Surgery News is celebrating its 40-year anniversary and will commemorate its history throughout 2022.
“It’s been an incredible journey for Ocular Surgery News since its founding in 1981,” Peter N. Slack, president and CEO of The Wyanoke Group, the parent company of Healio, said in a press release. “We are eternally grateful to all those who supported the publication throughout the years and excited to see what’s to come in the next 40 years.”
To mark the occasion, Healio created an anniversary website where readers can reminisce about the publication’s first 40 years with an interactive timeline.
“There have been groundbreaking revolutions to ophthalmic techniques and technologies over the past 4 decades,” Joan-Marie Stiglich, ELS, chief content officer of Healio, said in the release. “We created this timeline to celebrate these accomplishments and how far the field of ophthalmology has come.”
Additionally, Healio/Ocular Surgery News will publish content highlighting innovations, key opinion leaders and more in 2022.
