VIDEO: Efficacy, safety of Port Delivery System in wet AMD
Rishi P. Singh, MD, staff surgeon at Cole Eye Institute, Cleveland Clinic, and associate professor of ophthalmology at Lerner College of Medicine, discussed highlights in wet age-related macular degeneration from the ASRS meeting.
Singh talked about presentations from the meeting that focused on the efficacy and safety of the Port Delivery System (Genentech) for wet AMD in a video interview.
“It’s very important to understand the best practices around the Port Delivery System implantation,” Singh told Healio.
Editor’s note: The Port Delivery System with ranibizumab has been FDA approved for use in patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration in patients who previously responded to at least two anti-VEGF injections and is now named Susvimo (Genentech/Roche).
