Pierre Bertrand has been appointed as CEO of Neurolens, effective immediately, with current CEO and founder Davis Corley stepping into the role of executive chairman of the board of directors, according to a company press release.
“I am honored and excited to lead Neurolens into its bright future,” Bertrand said in the release. “Neurolens couldn’t be better positioned because of our incredible life-changing innovation — effectively addressing a large and growing unmet patient need — and the talented team that we are building. We are firing on all cylinders, just as our customers and their patients need us to.”
With more than 20 years of marketing and strategic expertise and executive experience in eye care, Bertrand will develop and execute the company’s strategic plan as it looks to expand into new markets and market segments, as well as manage all teams and operations, according to the release.
In his new role, Corley will govern the board of directors and oversee external fundraising, internal compensation and employee succession planning. He will also share the board’s insight and guidance in overall strategic planning, according to the release.
“This journey began over 9 years ago with a simple yet ambitious vision: to transform the vision industry by providing life-changing outcomes to patients,” Corley said in the release. “Today, we employ over 100 talented, dedicated people, serving almost 500 eye care providers. I am proud of what we have accomplished, but this is only the beginning.”
