The first issue of Journal of Refractive Surgery Case Reports launched online on June 25, according to a press release from the Wyanoke Group.

The new quarterly, peer-reviewed, open-access journal, which is available digitally, is the official open-access journal of the International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS) and accompanies the existing Journal of Refractive Surgery in publishing refractive surgery and lens-based procedure research.

JRS Case Reports will provide authors around the globe with the opportunity to publish their best cases on a site that is renowned for disseminating essential scientific work,” J. Bradley Randleman, MD, chief medical editor of JRS and JRS Case Reports, said in the release. “With contributions from the key thought leaders in the specialty, the journal will quickly become a must-read for any physician interested in refractive surgery.”

Journal of Refractive Surgery Case Reports is published by SLACK Incorporated, a sister company of Healio.com, whose parent company is the Wyanoke Group.

“I am pleased to see our new open-access journal present such interesting material, the kind of clinical scenarios ISRS members are always eager to learn from,” said Renato Ambrosio Jr., president of the ISRS.
