The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery annual meeting will now be held in July at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The meeting was previously scheduled for San Francisco but was moved because of current pandemic restrictions. The new dates are July 23 to 27.

“As we all continue to adapt to the evolving COVID-19 environment, I know many of us are experiencing fatigue in terms of our clinical practices and virtual conferences,” Terry Kim, MD, ASCRS president, said in an announcement. “That is why I am so excited about the announcement of our in-person annual meeting in Las Vegas. I could not think of a better destination where we can all get back to interacting with friends and colleagues and experiencing the outstanding educational events of ASCRS.”

The meeting will have a schedule consistent with previous years, with Subspecialty Day to be held July 23 followed by the main program.

Attendees can find updates and information at the meeting website.
