VIDEO: Robotic cataract surgery reality close enough to prepare for now
At the virtual European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons meeting, Marc de Smet, MD, PhD, gives his view on the latest developments in the use of robots to perform cataract surgery.
Though this approach may seem futuristic, “it is important that we discuss what we expect from robotics, how we want to incorporate it in our daily life and what role we want to play in this development,” he said.
