The Ridley Medal Lecture gave David Chang, MD, an opportunity to share the accomplishments of what he considers the greatest team of cataract surgeons in the world, those at Aravind Eye Care System in southern India.
At the virtual European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons meeting, he highlighted five compelling lessons that ophthalmologists in the West can learn from Aravind for more cost-effective, environmentally sustainable and compassionate care.
