Tom Frinzi joins CorneaGen as executive chair of board
Following his retirement as worldwide president of Johnson & Johnson Vision, Surgical, Tom Frinzi has joined CorneaGen’s board as its executive chair, according to a press release.
Frinzi has more than 40 years of experience in clinical-to-commercial transitions and has aided growth in a range of companies. Former chair William J. Link, PhD, will remain on the board.

“I have devoted my career to building companies that improve the vision — and lives — of people around the world,” Frinzi said in the release. “CorneaGen is a purpose-driven organization, which is consistent with how I have managed my career, and I am excited to help them achieve their mission of eliminating corneal blindness by 2040.”
Frinzi has held leadership and senior positions at Abbott Medical Optics, WaveTec Vision, Bausch + Lomb Surgical, Refractec and Johnson & Johnson and has received numerous awards for his leadership in the field.
