Kiawah Eye 2020, scheduled for Sept. 11 to 13, has been canceled due to growing concerns over the spread of COVID-19.

The meeting was originally scheduled for May but was postponed until September. However, the recent spike in new COVID-19 cases in South Carolina makes it difficult to guarantee the health and well-being of attendees, faculty, exhibitors and supporters, according to a press release.

The meeting is scheduled to return June 3 to 5, 2021, at the Kiawah Island Resort.

Kiawah Eye is organized by Healio Live, a sister company of Healio, publisher of Ocular Surgery News.

“The organizers of Kiawah Eye would like to thank everyone involved in the planning of what would have been a practice-enhancing and successful event for the loyal attendees and supporters of the meeting — with special recognition of the program directors Drs. Eric Donnenfeld and Kerry Solomon; the nearly 35 faculty members; as well as our industry exhibitors, supporters and sponsors,” the press release said.

Registrants with questions should contact Healio Live at registration@HealioLive.com or 856-848-1712, extension 219 or 476.
