It is my pleasure to introduce the inaugural Healio.com/OSN presbyopia blog entry entitled “Presbyopia’s Coming of Age.” This intentional play on words describes the opportunity before us. More and more, we are reading about innovative approaches for the correction of presbyopia. We are often asked by private equity firms and our industry strategic partners to identify future trends in eye care. Our responses are generally directed toward identifying the greatest areas of need. Given the ubiquitous nature of presbyopia, it is often at the top of our list.
Our upcoming issues will explore the surging interest in this emerging sub-subspecialty.
