ARVO, AAPOS cancel annual meetings
The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus have both canceled their annual meetings in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
The AAPOS meeting was scheduled for March 25-29 in Austin, Texas, while the ARVO meeting was scheduled for May 1-7 in Baltimore.
AAPOS plans to host a live webinar during the original meeting time frame, in which CME credits will be offered, according to the cancellation notice.
ARVO expects to release additional information in the next 2 weeks with alternative presentation options.
Both organizations have revised their respective refund policies for those not participating in alternative options.
