MARRAKECH, Morocco — At the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons Winter Meeting, Ioannis Pallikaris, MD, PhD, speaks about the Refugee Project funded and organized by the ESCRS in collaboration with the Hellenic Society of Intraocular Implant and Refractive Surgery and the University of the Mountains in Crete, Greece. A mobile ophthalmology screening unit, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, travels the Greek islands to carry out eye examinations in refugee camps.
