The Institut National D’excellence en Santé et en Services Sociaux in Quebec has recommended the inclusion of Verkazia eye drops on the lists of drugs for the treatment of severe vernal keratoconjunctivitis, Santen Canada announced in a press release.
Verkazia (cyclosporine 0.1% topical ophthalmic emulsion) is indicated for the treatment of the rare and potentially debilitating ocular allergic disease in children ages 4 years through adolescence.
The recommendation allows the drug formulation to move toward being available to patients in Quebec.
