Johnson & Johnson Vision names new worldwide surgical vision president

Warren Foust has been named as worldwide president of Surgical Vision at Johnson & Johnson Vision, taking over from Tom Frinzi, who will retire at the end of the year, the company announced in a press release.
Foust joined Johnson & Johnson in 2011 through the acquisition of Synthes. He has more than 20 years of experience in the health care industry, specifically in surgical medical devices, the release said. His most recent position was worldwide president of Mentor, and he was a member of the cardiovascular and specialty services leadership team within Johnson & Johnson.
“My priority on my first few days on the job will be to engage, listen and learn from our employees, our customers and our industry stakeholders. I’ll be visiting every region in my first 100 days on the job, connecting directly with the ophthalmology community at industry events, customer meetings and Johnson & Johnson Vision’s annual kick-off meetings across APAC, EMEA, and North and South America,” Foust said in the release.
Frinzi had a 35-year career in ophthalmology and has served as worldwide president of Surgical Vision at Johnson & Johnson Vision since 2017.
“When thinking about who would be the next leader of the surgical vision business, I knew we needed a leader with a track record of success in leading global health care businesses, a people-centered leadership style, a keen appreciation for the customer experience, and a high-touch approach to seeking customer partnership and input,” Frinzi said in the release. “Warren Foust exemplifies all of these traits, he’s a beloved leader at Johnson & Johnson, and this organization is in great hands with Warren at the helm.”
