Bausch + Lomb has entered into a licensing agreement with Tatvum Research for the worldwide commercial rights to new IOL designs that will be used in the enVista IOL family, according to a press release.

The advanced enVista IOLs, which will address astigmatism and presbyopia, were developed in partnership by the two companies.

“This agreement is part of our continued investment in expanding and improving upon our IOL options for our customers and their patients” Chuck Hess, vice president and general manager, U.S. Surgical, Bausch + Lomb, said in the release. “We look forward to applying these innovative designs on our rapidly growing enVista IOLs.”

Bausch + Lomb will file for regulatory approval of the IOLs in the coming years.
