OCTANe’s Ophthalmology Technology Summit fosters business, collaborations
OCTANe’s sixth annual Ophthalmology Technology Summit will feature presentations from four LaunchPad SBDC companies, according to a press release.
Cell Care Therapeutics, IACTA, VisgenX and LenTechs will be part of the intensive 1-day forum that aims to showcase innovations and foster partnerships between physicians, entrepreneurs, investors and businesses to advance ophthalmology through technology, the release said.
For the second year, OCTANe has partnered with the CEDARS/ASPENS organization to provide key opinion leaders with up-to-date information on current and future technologies intended to improve surgical and medical outcomes in the ophthalmic field.
“During OTS attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about OCTANe's impact on this industry and the overall SoCal ecosystem by highlighting unique discussions on innovation, investment and business effectiveness,” OCTANe CEO Bill Carpou, said. “It is the place for industry leaders, physicians and entrepreneurs to convene and share ideas. Of special interest will be four companies that have completed our LaunchPad accelerator and are ready for investment along with our partner, Visionary Ventures who will hold their annual investor meeting.”
The conference, moderated by Aerie Pharmaceuticals’ president and COO Tom Mitro, will also have a keynote interview with Glaukos CEO Tom Burns and guest speakers Bradford and Bryan Manning, co-founders of Two Blind Brothers, as well as Foundation Fighting Blindness COO Jason Menzo.
The Ophthalmology Technology Summit is scheduled for Friday, June 28 at the Fashion Island Hotel, Newport Beach, California.
