Carl Zeiss Meditec has invested in MicroOptx Inc., becoming a shareholder in the Minneapolis-based company, according to a press release.
MicroOptx focuses on minimally invasive glaucoma surgery devices to reduce intraocular pressure, the release said.
“The investment in MicroOptx will give Zeiss an early position in this new technology designed to increase MIGS adoption for treating glaucoma,” Zeiss Global President Ophthalmic Devices James V. Mazzo said.
