Two compounding pharmacies voluntarily recall sterile products

Sterile products, including ophthalmics, have been voluntarily recalled by two compounding pharmacy operations.

In response to FDA concerns regarding environmental controls, potential cross-contamination and lack of product specific process validations, Premier Pharmacy Labs is voluntarily recalling all its unexpired sterile products distributed from its Weeki Wachee, Florida, location, the company announced. Similarly, RXQ Compounding announced its voluntary recall of all lots of unexpired sterile drug products produced at its Athens, Ohio, location, also due to lack of sterility process assurance.

Consumers with questions can contact RXQ by phone at 740-331-4202 or email Brian.Post@RXQCompounding.com.

Patients and providers can contact Premier Pharmacy Labs at 800-752-7139 or email recalls@premierpharmacylabs.com.
