VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Matias Iglicki, MD, discusses results of a recent study regarding disorganization of the retinal inner layers (DRIL) at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology meeting.

The multicenter, retrospective study found preoperative DRIL status correlated with visual acuity improvement after surgery, with those with mild of no DRIL gaining a mean of three lines of vision compared with one line in patients with severe DRIL.
