Ellex Medical Lasers launched Eye Prime diagnostic ultrasound technology for evaluating pathology of the eye, according to a press release.

Eye Prime diagnostic ultrasound features six focal points for improved image definition and clarity. The increased depth of field and real-time dynamic imaging provide enhanced viewing of the structures inside the eye, the release said.

“I am pleased we have received FDA clearance for Eye Prime and launched this sophisticated diagnostic ultrasound innovation in the key U.S. market,” Ged Wallace, CEO of Ellex, said in the release. “Initial clinician feedback ... has been highly positive and has reinforced our goal of delivering technologies that benefit our medical clients and their deserving patients.”
