Oertli Instrumente has launched an upgrade to its Faros compact surgical platform for cataract, vitrectomy and glaucoma surgery.

The upgrade includes a new design to make surgery easier to perform, with instrument connections accessible from the front. It also has a two-pump system with flow and vacuum control, a press release said.

Faros, which can be an anterior segment device or a combined anterior/posterior segment device, is available in Europe, Asia and South America.
