Ocular Therapeutix posts net loss for 2018

Ocular Therapeutix reported a fourth quarter 2018 net loss of $17.4 million, or $0.42 per share, compared with 2017’s fourth quarter loss of $13.1 million, or $0.44 per share.

For the full year, net loss totaled $60 million compared with a net loss of $63 million in 2017, according to a press release.

Total costs and operating expenses were $17.8 million for the quarter compared with $13.2 million a year ago, while expenses for 2018 were $61.1 million compared with $63.8 million in 2017.

Total revenue for 2018 was nearly $2 million, up slightly from $1.9 the previous year.

The company had $54.1 million in cash and cash equivalents as of Dec. 31, 2018.
