Kadesh is voluntarily recalling all lots of Puriton Eye Relief Drops, 0.5 oz bottle, due to non-sterile production conditions at its manufacturing facility, the FDA announced in a press release.

The over-the-counter homeopathic drops are marketed for temporary relief of burning and irritation due to eye dryness and discomfort.

The company has issued a recall letter to its distributors and customers. Those with questions can contact the recall department at contact@puriton.us.

The pH of Puriton Eye Relief Drops is relatively high, posing a risk for destruction of the cornea, anterior chamber and deeper structures of the eye, the FDA said in the release.

No adverse events have been reported.
