A new program aimed at educating patients has been launched by the Refractive Surgery Council, according to a press release.

The RSC Verified program makes the RSC’s library of patient education material available for surgeons to use on their websites and social media platforms, the release said. Those who use the program will be able to display an RSV Verified seal on their websites as well.

“People are increasingly turning to the internet to research their health and medical information. As a council, our priority for the past decade has been to ensure individuals researching vision correction procedures find the most accurate information online,” RSC Chairman James Wachtman said in the release. “Opening our library to surgeons ensures patients find information that is both relevant to their journey and trusted.”
