Eyenovia posts $5.1 million loss in 2017
Eyenovia reported a net loss of $2.2 million, or $0.84 per share, in the fourth quarter of 2017 compared with a net loss of $1.2 million, or $0.51 per share, in the fourth quarter of 2016, according to a press release.
Research and development costs increased from $1 million in 2016’s final quarter to $1.7 million in the same time period of 2017, while general and administrative expenses rose from $0.2 million to $0.5 million.
For the full year, the company posted a net loss of $5.1 million, or $2.19 per share, compared with a net loss of $3.5 million, or $1.56 per share, in 2016.
Research and development costs for the year rose 29% to $3.8 million, and general and administrative costs increased 131% from $0.6 million in 2016 to $1.3 million in 2017.
The company had cash totaling $5.2 million as of Dec. 31, 2017.
