The Easyret integrated 577 nm yellow photocoagulator has received Japanese market approval, according to a press release from Quantel Medical.
The Easyret is used to treat certain forms of macular edema and peripheral retinal pathologies, the release said.
“The Easyret’s ELBA fiber laser cavity delivers pure 577 nm yellow wavelength in a uniform laser spot profile, making it ideal for ophthalmic applications,” Jean-Marc Gendre, Quantel’s CEO, said in the release.
The device is already available in more than 50 countries, including the United States.
