Alimera Sciences reported a GAAP net loss of $5.3 million in the third quarter of 2017 compared with a loss of $9.2 million in 2016’s third quarter.

Quarterly basic and diluted net loss was $0.08 per share compared with a basic and diluted net loss of $0.16 per share last year, according to a company press release.

Consolidated net revenue rose by $1.5 million to $9.8 million in the quarter compared with net revenue of $8.3 million in the third quarter of 2016.

Operating expenses decreased to $12.6 million in the quarter compared with $15.1 million in 2016’s third quarter, while the company’s quarterly operating loss decreased from $7.2 million in 2016 to $3.8 million.
