BostonSight, LV Prasad Eye Institute enter partnership
BostonSight and the LV Prasad Eye Institute are partnering to manufacture and distribute BostonSight scleral contact lenses, according to a press release.
Under the agreement, the India-based institute will make and distribute the BostonSight scleral lenses to ophthalmologists and optometrists in India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa. The nonprofit organizations work to serve and subsidize underprivileged populations by providing treatments for vision impairment alleviation for ocular surface disorders, the release said.
“This partnership creates an opportunity for us to combine our collective expertise and provide affordable access to visually impaired, underserved populations around the world. We are privileged to work with LV Prasad to make this a reality,” Gene Guselli, BostonSight CEO, said in the release.
