Johnson & Johnson reports second quarter earnings
Johnson & Johnson reported net earnings of $3.8 billion, or $1.40 per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2017, compared with net earnings of $3.99 billion, or $1.43 per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2016.
Sales increased 1.9% to $18.8 billion in the second quarter, according to a company press release.
Abbott Medical Optics, which was recently acquired by the company, contributed 5.1% to worldwide operational sales growth.
In the second quarter, reported sales in the vision care segment were $1.06 billion compared with $685 million in the second quarter a year ago.
