Beaver-Visitec announced it has acquired the Netherlands-based ophthalmic technology company Vitreq, which specializes in vitreoretinal surgery devices.

Financial details and terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“In BVI, we have found a partner that is committed to growing our organization, best positioning us to achieve our mission of becoming one of the leading vitreoretinal surgery platforms,” Frank Ruseler, CEO and co-founder of Vitreq, said in a press release.

BVI has acquired two other companies in the past year, including Malosa Medical, which it bought in April.
