July is Dry Eye Awareness Month, when physicians and agencies aim to increase awareness of the condition, which affects millions of Americans.
In recent years, dry eye disease has increasingly become a priority as studies have been conducted and pharmaceuticals developed to combat its effects.

1. Lifitegrast improved dry eye signs, symptoms in five trials
Adults with dry eye disease were assigned to lifitegrast or placebo in five randomized, double-masked, placebo-controlled trials, which found the drug to improve dry eye symptoms. Read more here.
