Second Sight Medical Products reported a net loss of $7.5 million, or $0.16 per share, in the first quarter of 2017 compared with a net loss of $5.8 million, or $0.16 per share, in the same quarter of last year, the company announced in a press release.
Net sales for the quarter totaled $1 million compared with $1.1 million in 2016.
Total operating expenses were $7.4 million compared with $6 million in 2016’s first quarter, which the company attributed to higher research and development costs and personnel costs.
