Lombart Instrument acquires Innova Medical Ophthalmics
Innova Medical Ophthalmics, a Canadian ophthalmic instrument distributor, has been acquired by Lombart Instrument, a U.S. distributor owned by private equity firm Atlantic Street Capital, according to a press release.
Innova is the largest independent ophthalmic instrument distributor in Canada, where it also provides customer consultation services and installation and maintenance services, the release said.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Innova has been particularly successful in setting up the infrastructure to sell more advanced products that allow our customers to provide superior levels of patient care,” Andy Wilkins, managing partner of Atlantic Street Capital, said in the release. “We’re excited to bring this expertise into the U.S. to give our salespeople the training, marketing and clinical support to strengthen our product sales and technical service throughout North America.”
