Glaukos reported net sales of $114.4 million in 2016 compared with $71.7 million in 2015, with the fourth quarter’s sales growing 64% from $20.3 million in 2015 to $33.2 million in 2016.

The higher sales were attributed to increased utilization of the iStent.

Net income attributable to stockholders was $4.5 million, or $0.12 per share, in 2016 compared with a net loss of $37.2 million, or $2.13 per share, in 2015.

Operating expenses rose 36% from $69 million in 2015 to $94 million in 2016, which the company attributed to investment and expansion of its global infrastructure.
