Genentech’s Lucentis prefilled syringe is now available in the United States, according to company correspondence.

Approved by the FDA in October 2016, the Lucentis (ranibizumab) 0.5 mg prefilled syringe is indicated to treat patients with wet age-related macular degeneration, macular edema after retinal vein occlusion and myopic choroidal neovascularization. It is the first anti-VEGF to be approved for myopic CNV.
