VIDEO: Changing IOL material lessens positive dysphotopsia
At OSN New York 2016, Nicole Fram, MD, tells colleagues how to manage positive dysphotopsia, which can manifest on postoperative day 1 after cataract surgery. According to Fram, changing the IOL material to collamer or silicone is a strategy to try in patients with "recalcitrant complaints," although research is needed to confirm the best material for IOL exchange.
